The article mentions a 6.5% which would put the company over a $3B valuation. Seems high for what it is? Borderfree was acquired about 6 years ago for $400M by Pitney Bowes at the height of the cross-border craze. Granted, eCommerce is bigger now!

I can’t figure out what they need so much funding for? The only answer I can come up with would be continued international expansion. The other reason might be the increasing competition in the space.

I truly can’t figure out why Wix would need to buy this. Why not partner? I can’t imagine Rise was not making enough money to be independent? There is more here than meets the eye. Says the company will keep operating independently.

The only worry with Recurate is this is getting to be a well-worn space now. Too late?
