This trend continues to accelerate around the world. The big are getting bigger. There are conglomerate groups that are controlling the largest sellers on the big marketplaces now.
Virtual fashion platform RTFKT raises $8M from A16z
This is so useful for a few reasons. One, it’s digital. It’s not limited by the physical. So the creative surface area is infinite. We are on a multi-decade shift from spending more time in physical worlds to spending more time in digital ones. These sort of “bridge” solutions will pop up in this interim period to help bridge the gap. I don’t know if it will work. But SOMETHING like this will.

I thought the best way to get funding was to add “ship” to your name. Perhaps I was wrong. “Headless” is apparently the word you’re looking for. Seriously though, it looks like Shopistry is a data connector play plus a CMS. Is it it’s own eCom platform? Not certain. It connects to Shopify and others.

Logixboard gives freight-forwarders their own platform for transparency & service w/ their consumers. Just raised $13M. Possible they get scooped up by a larger player like Convoy or Transfix later.

The biggest applications are for college dorms, multi-family residential settings, apartments, etc. They could be an acquisition target by someone like goPuff with a similar consumer segment target.

While I’ve personally seen cross-border decreasing on client’s radars in the past few years based on trade tensions and the strength of the dollar, cross-border startups continue to raise money at a good clip.

Raises $200M at $1.8B valuation. This is an undeniable supplier as well as consumer trend to ethically source products.

Impressive amount of traction for a young startup. It wants to be the connectivity layer between the eCom platform and all sorts of interesting B2B payment scenarios, so that as a merchant you don’t need to build these custom.

$50M at a $1B+ valuation is extremely unusual in this world. The headline says they want to acquire companies which means this is just a cash-flow raise. Strong positive signal.
