Shopify makes first SEA startup investment in WhatsApp CRM firm’s $23m round

WATI (WhatsApp Team Inbox) enables companies to have scalable and personalized conversations using customer engagement software built on WhatsApp’s business API.

This is the company’s Series B funding for a tool which is designed for small and medium businesses of all types to communicate with their customers effectively using WhatsApp.  The best way to describe it is like Zendesk for WhatsApp.
