Did Shopify Beat Amazon on Black Friday This Year?

#Shopify share of Black Friday. Did they beat Amazon this year?

Let's take it as a given that Black Friday was $8.9B.

1 - Amazon was estimated to have captured 17.9% of Black Friday sales in the US. (Numerator)

2 - Shopify reported $2.9B GMV. Let's say 75% of that is from the US/North America (it may be a bit less).

That's $2.17B.

3 - Does this mean that #Shopify captures 24% of Black Friday sales and #Amazon captures 18% of Black Friday Sales?

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
