Stord raises $90M in Kleiner Perkins-led round

Stord has a cloud-based supply chain management software and a logistics network to help mid-market businesses deliver products more efficiently.

The company also announced it has acquired Connecticut-based Fulfillment Works, a 22-year-old company with direct-to-consumer (DTC) experience and warehouses in Nevada and in its home state.

Unifying software, automation, and traditional fulfillment facilities is a growing trend. Historically, the 3PL space has been difficult to integrate with. This fact is fast-changing, however, and in the next few years there will likely be few 3PLs that are not technically savvy.
