Shein In Talks to Raise $3 Billion At Reduced Valuation

Shein, which does not sell in China, has grown into one of the world's largest online fashion marketplaces since its 2008 launch in Nanjing. It produces clothing in China to sell online in the United States – its biggest market, Europe and Asia.

Valuations are coming down all over eCommerce and even the leaders are no exception.  Shein has been one of the runaway success stories in eCommerce in the past 5 years, and one of the worst examples of our “throwaway society” in recent memory at the same time.
