PFSbrands Acquires Grocer Moser’s Foods

Pro Food Systems (PFSbrands) is the foodservice solutions company that operates brands like Champs Chicken and Hangar 54 Pizza.

Moser’s Foods is an eight-store grocery chain that also operates a convenience store.

PFSbrands, which offers food service solutions, has acquired Mid-Missouri grocer Moser’s Foods for an undisclosed price. This is interesting. Why would a food service company feel the need to acquire eight grocery stores?
