Momofuku Goods Raises a Series A to Focus on Pantry Essentials

Spun out of Momofuku in 2020, the brand sells pantry items such as its chili crunch, air-dried noodles, soy sauce and seasoned salts. It has “a thriving direct-to-consumer business,” and also sells through wholesale partners such as Whole Foods and Target.

Best known for its Momofuku Noodle Bar in New York City and other major North American cities, Momofuku has found where the real money is made: merchandising! I think this is a great idea as the brand has a certain cachet.  It could be popular with chefs around the world.
