Verishop is a luxury e-commerce site created by former Snapchat chief strategy officer Imran Khan.

Verishop came on the market several years ago and unlike many others explicitly said it was not going to be a marketplace and was going to buy inventory.  That changed pretty quickly as they added a marketplace model, and now that seems to be central to their model.
