The trend to close up shop on Thanksgiving day got a new recruit this year - Target. And Target one-upped the other retailers by saying that they would never open on Thanksgiving again.

This was the second year Macy's and Walmart closed on Thanksgiving.

Retailers are still getting the message that workers are the highest priority, not sales. It strikes me this trend in favor of workers still has a long road to travel.
